DeWayne McAnally has over 30 years expertise in the financial services arena. His comprehensive approach to planning for individuals and for businesses includes a combination of computer generated numerics with highly customized and individualized written strategies.
McAnally has written articles for news and business publications. Recognition has been given to him in such publications as `The York Times`, `Money Magazine", Sylvia Porter`s `Personal Finance Magazine` and 'USA Today'. He has also been a guest speaker or held financial seminars for over 400 corporations and associations. In 1993, he became the host of the radio show `The Financial Forum with DeWayne McAnally`, as well as doing a financial column for newspapers.
Before entering into financial planning, McAnally served as a consultant with an Oklahoma City based business consulting firm. He also spent five years with Sears in finance and credit management positions. In 1995, Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating appointed McAnally to the Board of Trustees of two of the Oklahoma Public Employee`s Retirement System. He was also named to the Retirement System`s Investment committee in 1996. Governor Brad Henry reappointed Mr. McAnally to these boards and committees in 2003.
Graduating in 1972 from Southern Nazarene University, McAnally obtained his bachelor of arts degree with concentration in the areas of Business, Social Studies, and Speech. He earned the designation of Certified Financial Planner in 1982. He became a Registered Investment Advisor in 1984. He continues his education by attending numerous workshops and courses presented by highly respected schools such as The Wharton School of Business of Pennsylvania Univesity and ASAF Investment University.
He has been included in the `Who`s Who in Financial Planning` and in 1983 became a charter member of the Registry of Financial Planning Practitioners.
